Christmas memories

We are already near Christmas again,  a Christmas that will be definitively different due to  the exceptional year that we all have been living. However, I believe that we do not have to give up the magic and joy that it evokes. I personally like it. You breathe joy, enthusiasm and also for me Christmas has a special smell, it smells of childhood … those afternoons I spent with my parents in the mountains collecting wet moss, thick wooden logs and dry leaves to assemble the nativity scene that we placed on the brown sideboard in the hallway at home, while the smell of freshly baked apple pie filled the room … the timing could not have been better!

An elegant table makes magic

Gathering family is emotional, complicity and fun moments with your loved ones; that is why I like to spend so much time laying the table. An elegant and beautifully set table makes the moment more magical, unique and special.

The smell of clean, freshly ironed linen,  tablecloths (from the French house www.le-jacquard-francais.es) when you spread it out  and place the fine porcelain tableware in neutral tones (from the Cartuja house in Seville www.cartuja sevilla.com) the act becomes a small journey that helps to create the soul and spirit of our homes.

A natural and homemade centerpiece

Natural and homemade centerpieces such as red flowers, candles, pinecones or dry branches are a really nice complement to decorate our Christmas table … in short, a set of things that help to elevate that endearing, magical and special atmosphere of family and which  helps me in particular to forget and evade from the reality for a few days …
