Decorative styles: the industrial style
Today I am going to talk to you about my favourite decoration styles, to inspire you in decoration ideas for your projects in 2021.
The Industrial style, which was born in the old factories of New York in the 1950s , is without doubt one of the most requested styles these days. At that time, young New York artists began to settle in large and spacious abandoned factories in search of space and light and it is a style which I am really fond of.
From factories to lofts
Maybe because I was born and have lived in an extremely industrial town such as Eibar. I played hide and seek around the place and in some cases even within the abandoned factories, in the huge open space, under metal beams and exposed pipe rails. Above all I liked the large square shaped windows in those factories which let in so much natural light and the atmosphere that I have so internalized.
It is obvious that the industrial style is fashionable and many of those factories where I played, have been turned into attractive and warm lofts. There many young people have decided to decorate their homes with exposed brick walls, wooden beams and have embraced an open space that is the identity of this look.
The industrial style reflects character, personality and in my opinion it has great visual appeal. This mixture of new and vintage materials together with consoles, worn wooden tables and even leather Chester sofas add a touch of colour, warmth and luxury to the space!!
To be brief, a new decorative style that is here to stay for its unbeatable appeal and everyday comfort!
